The Vilitan Orbital Intelligence Agency issued the first warning on the impending assasination of Krytenian sports broadcaster John Nwoko during the 2nd AOCAF Tournament after heated words before the match between Krytenia and Xile turned ugly.

The Xilan government originally ordered the assasination of Nwoko to occur if Krytenia had beaten Xile in the game. However, as Xilan player Eurie Adams fired the winning goal home for the Bullet Wounds, President Lauir of Xile called off the assasination plot. However, the Xilan public did not get the memo, and Nwoko was hospitalized after a beating in a bar fight in Yeaddin, Vilita. Two Xilan citizens were arrested for the assault. Nwoko had suffered severe internal bleeding, a fractured arm, and concussion, however his voicebox was beleived to be intact. Krytenian fans paid tribute to the commentator against Lamoni, chanting "We're Going Home In A Flying Ambulance" after going 3-0 down.

Despite receiving support from the Xilan president, Nwoko was murdered shortly after returning home. Nwoko had been shot twice, once in the head and once in the chest. DNA testing on hair cells found at the scene placed a Xilan national working in Krytenia at Nwoko's home. Nwoko's death immediately turned relations between the two nations on their heads, and eventually produced the Atlantian Oceania Presidential Palace Conflict, a great war that included an all-out bombing of the AOlympic Games in Krytenia, and eventually saw Krytenia fall off the map.
