John Thorne is a former president of the Federal Republic of Omigodtheykilledkenny. A stiff politician with a bland speaking style, Thorne is blessed with a wonderful biography, having served his nation twice in the Armed Services during wartime. Thorne served in the Federal Senate before his single term in office, and again afterward, and is Manuelo Fernanda's chief rival for the presidency, having challenged him three times for the post. Though Fernanda beat him each time in the popular election, Thorne eked out a win in the electoral vote in 2000, and relished the opportunity to spend his presidency correcting "that man's" mistakes.
