Jorj Fariz

A former soldier and businessman, Jorj Fariz remains a unique fixture in Eredron's political history, transforming himself from an element of the extremist conservative fringe to Consul of the Republic.

Born in the bustling port city Portsmouth, Fariz dropped out of school to become a member of a private fleet operated by Marine Research International. By the age of 35, Fariz had risen to the top ranks of the company. When he left it at 45, he took with him not only a personal fortune of over 5 million, but political aspirations. After a successful campaign for a Senate seat, Fariz ran for the office of Consul. Defeated at the polls, Fariz returned to the private sector, acting as a consultant to a chain of oceanic expeditions. He returned to politics shortly after his 50th birthday, again seeking Eredron's highest office. Winning less than 15% of the vote, he withdrew once more into retirement.

For the next eight years, Fariz remained out of the public eye, amassing a considerable fortune through off-shore drilling platforms. Content, it appeared that Fariz had left politics for good.

Fariz was out of the country when he received the news that rioting had broken out in Eredronian cities, protesting the worsening economy. Viewing this as his opportunity to make a last bid for the Consulship, Fariz returned and began a whirlwind campaign against incumbent Consul Hill. Using the economic recession and an African crisis as evidence of Hill's failure, Fariz was able to not only win the election, but gain nearly 25 Senate seats for his party.

To date, Fariz has overseen the recognition of Namibia and Botswana as states, the development of the Bastion II Missile Shield, and a restructuring of the Eredronian military.
