KPFA League
The KPFA League is the main domestic football league in Kaze Progressa. It was formerly known as the Progressair League before the country's civil war, and was renamed upon the nation's revival. It consists of three divisions; a 14-team Premier Division, a 16-team First Division and a 16-team Second Division. In all three divisions, teams play each other on a home and away basis.
Promotion and relegation
The bottom-placed team is automatically relegated from the Premier and First Divisions, replaced by the champions of the division immediately below.
In addition, playoff matches take place between the second-bottom team in each of these leagues and the second-placed team in the league below, and also between the third-bottom team in the higher league and the third-placed team in the lower league. These matches are over two legs, and the winning team earns the right to play in the higher league in the following season.
The bottom two teams in the Second Division are automatically relegated and replaced by the champions in each of the Eastern and Western Divisions of the K-Train League.
Season numbering
All seasons are now numbered, with season 1 being the first season since the nation's revival.
