The Royal Kingdom of Kamikastan, current UN Delegate of California, is a relatively small nation. Its history stretches as far back as 4000 years, around the time period when Kamik-speaking peoples began to migrate from modern-day Ayrwll and settle in modern-day Lasitoraniki province. After being conquered in 1651 and ruled by Ayrwll for 83 years, the Kamiks revolted in 1734 and regained their independence. They established a kingdom that still exists today, with Asitakanikus I, the leader of the revolt, as the first king of the new Kingdom of Kamikastan.

Today, the Royal Kingdom of Kamikastan still retains its ethnic identity and is proud of its long and colorful history. Long-established holidays are still widely celebrated, and feasts and festivals often turn Kortahan, the Kamik capital city, into a party playground. It retains its calendar, which was abolished when Ayrwll conquered the Kamiks and was reinstated when the Kamiks regained independence. The royal house stretches back to the first king, Asitakanikus I, twenty-eight generations ago.

Tourist Hot Spots

Kortahan

Kortahan is the capital and the largest, oldest, and the busiest city in the Kingdom of Kamikastan. Many places in the city date back to King Morihanikan I and turn lively during the four festivals of the Kamik calendar. Several places of Kortahan are worth visiting, such as

  • The Royal Horitikominakan Palace - This grand palace, built during the reign of King Asitakanikus III, is truly a man-made wonder. Spread over 1021 acres, it has gardens that resemble a hardwood forest and a field of flowers, a hall filled with paintings of the most famous artists of Kamikastan, a dining room that can seat 1000 guests and hosts for a coronation banquet, innumerable bedrooms and suites, a chapel for religious services, among many more that strike tourists and citizens alike spellbound.
  • The Cathedral of the Royal Saint Karikaroki - The cathedral, the largest in California, was dedicated by the Holy Church of Kamikastan during the reign of King Hebikanok III. The church, spread over 200 acres, sports a large square and a 2000-feet long chapel decorated with religious symbols, crucifixes, and glass mosaics of the saints. The Holy Church of Kamikastan is headed by the Holy Kamik Patriarch of Kortahan His Holiness Natalikelik VI.

Tiraki Islands

The Tiraki Islands is one of the most famous vacation spots in California. A natural tropical paradise made up of 10 islands, many tourists flock to the pristine beaches of Pekato'anak, the biggest island and capital of the Tiraki Islands, in the summer months, around Tikanimak XXVIII to Ebakinam I. Every Kanokani I, the Tiraki Islands hosts the Pekato'anak Invitational Surfing Competition, the most prestigious competition in California. Other famous islands worth visiting are:

  • Fukami'ati: Second-largest island
  • Moti'anikak: Thrid-largest island, has an active volcano in the center of the island.
  • Moto'akani: One of the most beautiful islands, with clear blue waters and sparkling beaches

The Tiraki Islands has its own particular language. Tiraki is an offshoot of Kamik, but it has a slightly modified vocabulary and a different accent. Tiraki and Kamik are mutually indistinguishable.

Hafalakitok

This mountainous city 11532 feet above sea level is the highest major city in Kamikastan. During the winter months, it emerges from its doze and bursts into lively commotion as winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding start at the beginning of the winter season, around Yamikamok XXVI to Kamikatoram I. The surrounding ski resorts open during the first snowfall in Yamikamok and last until around the end of Asitakani or the beginning of Betaminak or even Kanimaki.
