Karat

General

The Karat is the currency for Miokalia and Dincota It is also the standard for currency for the Draconid Common Market.

Notation

The Karat symbol is a superimposition of the Kohtohkan letter elements equivalent to english K and T over eachother. Although, in the English or western character set, it is often written as "kt".

The "kt" goes after the quantity. (I.e. "6000kt")

Regulation

The Karat standard is regulated by the Market Federal Reserve Bank of the Draconid Common Market. The office is located on Daeron, in the city of Decatur. The currency is minted in each country slightly differently, but all within the confines of the Karat Template, which is a overriding standard format for the currency. Although each nation it is minted in adds their own details to the currency like the portraits and likeness of national historical figures and places of interest and landmarks important to that country, as well as the name of the country. Aside from that, the layout and coloring of all Karat currency, regardless of where it was minted, is the same. The Karat has on one side, (the face side) a grey-and-yellow color scheme, regardless of the nation in which it was minted and regardless of the value. The other side (the landmark side), is colored according to the value of the note.
