The Kelssek Hockey League (KHL); French: Ligue Kelssekienne de Hockey (LKH) is a high-level professional ice hockey league in Kelssek. The league was founded in 1902 with twelve clubs and has gradually expanded to its present size as clubs applied to join.

Format

The KHL has three divisions with 30 teams in each division, and each team plays against each other twice each season on a home-and-away basis (58 games per season). At the end of the season, the four lowest-ranked teams from each division are relegated to the next lower division and the four highest ranked teams from that division are promoted to replace them.

The top 16 teams of Division One compete in a knockout tournament consisting of best-of-seven series. The winner of this tournament wins the Desjardins Cup, and is considered the league champion. The defending champion from the 2005-06 season is Chevalles de Champjaune. The most recent winner of the Desjardins Cup is Olympique Langlois.
