A half-Southerner from Denard, Sean Kerrigan was one of Admiral Francois's best captains during the Lily Revolution. Kerrigan utilized a small cadre of fellow Denarders in stealth based missions as well as the killing of Royalist officers with their powerfu long-ranged hunting rifles. After the Revolution Kerrigan was promoted to Colonel and was allowed to develop his own regiment based on his Revolution experiences. He held shooting trials across the country, offering the winners high pay and prestige should they enlist. Like the Kingsland Rifles (who, interestingly enough, fought as Royalists until Bas-Armand, when they defected), his regiment uses the Browne rifle, yet they utilized an important advance in technology to aid their marksmanship: a telescopic sight.

Using first Akaeian and then Sicinian made telescopes, the spyglasses could be fitted onto an arm protruding from the stock. They also utilize an elliptical musket round and fine Martinique powder, which together give range up to 275-300 yards. The uniforms of a field green in color, and gilly suits are in widespread use. The regiment first saw action during the siege of Akaseia during the Three Day's War, in which they pproved their worth by shooting a 12-pdr battery commander between the eyes at a range of 220 yards. They are now currently part of the 4th Shock Army.
