The Borderlands of Khaoz.

Overview

The Borderlands of Khaoz is a huge, devout nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population has some civil rights, but not too many, enjoys the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and takes part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 36%. A substantial private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Notable People

Kyle Brand

Kyle Brand is the Patriarch of Khaoz. Prior to his election, the Patriarch had been nothing more than a glorified figurehead for the government of Khaoz. After assuming office, Kyle quickly pushed for legislation to transfer more power to the Patriarch from the rest of the governing body. It was during this period that he also managed to slip in a clause changing the office of the Patriarch from a periodically elected office to a lifetime term.

Wilhelm Meiden

Wilhelm Meiden is a Probation Officer of the Regional Court. Having assumed his position on January 6, 2006, he reports directly to Sumada. On top of his regional responsibilites, Wilhelm is also the Chief of Legal Counsel for Khaoz.

Xavier Junge

Xavier Junge is the Prime Ambassador of Khaoz. Prior to becoming the Prime Ambassador, Xavier had served as the mayor of the capital city of Ataman. This coupled with his background as a police hostage negotiator made him the leading candidate.

Nanook

Nanook is the head of the Sons of Silence.
