Kinetic bullets

All 'bullets', by definition, are kinetic weapons. However, the phrase kinetic bullet specifically refers to high-precision high-velocity non-ballistic missiles of diminutive stature, generally used in stellar or orbital combat.

An example of offensive kinetic bullet use is obvious: guided kinetic bullets might seek out the path of an oncoming enemy vessel, combining opposing velocities to devastating effect.

An example of defensive use: a field of circling kinetic bullets can be used to project a missile-defence 'swarm' in front of a vessel.
