Kinetic Harpoon

Kinetic harpoons are, essentially, kinetic missiles. However, they are generally larger in mass, and specifically shaped for specific targets. Ship-to-ship kinetic harpoons are designed to break the keel of a warship, whereas a ship-to-surface kinetic harpoon may be designed to set up seismic interference patterns.

Kinetic harpoons, unlike kinetic missiles, are ballistic weapons, and are usually fired from a gauss cannon. They may also be carried aboard specially adapted Combat Hornets.

Kinetic harpoons are currently entering active service with the Iluvaruomeni Commonality Space Force.
