The Kingdom of Orque was a large, long-lived kingdom extending over the islands Oveto, Murgal, Lesquît, Cortes, and several others in modern-day Islas de Pádrogüe. It began in 1292 when the leaders of the nations of Oveto, Murgal, Abkan-Islas, Lesquît, and Cortes together decided to form a kingdom, so they might have a larger regional influence and a stronger military. The first King, Rei David de Oveto was elected by the people, but the kingship was thereafter to be passed down in the royal family. The royal palace was established at Port Adrià, now called Adrián. The Kingdom lasted for another 568 years, until Pádrogüe was formed. Orque's traditional rival was the Kingdom of Erriaduur (Erriaduurazkaati), and had been for a very long time. From 1620 to 1659, these two kingdoms were locked in a battle for control of the islands of Amurna, a small group of islands between present-day Orque and Erriade provinces rich in silver. At the end of the war, both sides realised that they were too evenly matched and signed an alliance. After a peaceful two hundred years, the two kingdoms, along with several others in the vicinity, formed Islas de Pádrogüe.
