One of the finest light infantry units in the Sicinian Army, the Kingsland Rifles is a single battalion regiment in the 3rd Shock Army. The unit was originally formed during the Panselle War with recruits from Kingsland (the name for the Northlands in Sicinia). The men were woodsmen, hunters, foresters, and trappers, and were skilled in survival like no others. They were trained to be independent thinking and self-reliant, with each men capable of becoming an officer at a moment's notice. They were issued with the Browne rifle, a unique weapon capable of accurate fire up to 200 yards and beyond. Marksmanship was stressed, and the Kingslanders are nearly as good shots as the men of Kerrigan's Sharpshooters. However, their primary role is scouting, raiding, and skirmishing before the main line in a pitched battle. They served with distinction in the Panselle War and fought a small but important skirmish outside of Akaseia in the opening hours of the Three Day's War. The Kingsland Rifles still to this day maintain the tradition of recruiting only from Kingsland, getting only the best of Sicinia's North dwellers.
