Introduction

The Kiravian Empire conducts multiple relations with the UN. The Empire's scientists serve in UNESCO, and some Kiravian troops are stationed in, or assigned to support the UN military. However, relations to UN power are kept minimal. Kirav itself is not a UN member, nor do Kirav-founded regions have UN delegates that can wield power.

UN Association

Of Kirav's many colonies, only two, Kolaxa and Xirya, have been U.N. members. Kolaxa was an endorsant in the region of Forest, before the Empire decided to transfer UN power to Xirya, to help stabilize the Grey Sea States. To this day, Xirya remains a UN member. For a period of time, it served as UN Delegate. The Imperial Delegate to the UN is Tellest Syrý.

UN Philosophy and Policy

Kirav follows its own political philosophy when voting for UN proposals. Liberal, Pro-Enviornment(Turquoise) ideology prevails. Concerning international and military issues, Kirav votes for resolutions that do not inhibit nations' right to decide how to govern themselves, and promotes international measure, currency, and language resolutions. The Empire firmly supports the UN military, despite occasional skirmishes between UN forces and the Imperial Military.

Trust Territories

Occasionally, the UN will grant newly independant, unstable, unorganised, or dispted areas to more powerful nations to aid their development. These countries are called Trust Territories. Kirav has so far recieved 7 trust territories. The Empire builds a local government, encourages democracy, and invests in the economy. But, despite Trust Territory procedure, the EMpire rarely returns the nation to self-rule.
