History

A Lifetime of Sin - The Republic

The KoZ came into being as a result of revolution in Cecrow, during which the original government was overthrown. The former rulers of Cecrow formed a government in exile, creating a society of rebels naming themselves the Knights of Zion. The society's name is a play on the name of Cecrow's enemy at the time, Zionites.

Allying itself with Zionites and other members of the Jornada Alliance, the KoZ waged a short and bitter cold war against Cecrow and its ally Coulamland. When the war turned abruptly hot, the KoZ were targetted and destroyed by Coulamland's nuclear arsenal. They were not remembered well by the Jornada Alliance, who blamed the KoZ for betraying their regional password to the enemy (whether this actually occurred has never been resolved).

An Eternity of Debt - The Undead Legions

After twenty-seven days of dormancy, the Knights of Zion reactivated and were detected moving from region to region. They remained uncommunicative for some time, until posting their new flag and motto, and revealing their new nature as creatures of the undead. After several months of standoffishness, they resumed contact with the Joranda Alliance, eventually fighting on their side during the War of Reckoning against Cecrow and Coulamland. The war bogged down into stalemate until a ceasefire was declared, which resulted in the Treaty of Reckoning. Knights of Zion was a signing member of the treaty, which put an end to any further wars between the two sides. Shortly afterward, the Jornada Alliance dispersed and all other nations withdrew from Reckoning to pursue their individual destinies. The Knights of Zion were cut adrift, moving from region to region in search of new meaning.

Feudal Japan - The Immortal Daimyo

After a survey of several regions, the Knights of Zion chose to establish a new home in Feudal Japan (January 2006), assuming a role with the government's ministry of finance (Okurasho) and turning from the bitterness of its military past to focus upon economic prosperity for a brighter tomorrow. After serving six months in this capacity, Lord KoZ was selected as the new Shogun, supreme ruler of Feudal Japan (July 2006). Consequently, the Knights of Zion turned their attentions from finance to recruitment, administering the regional forum and furthering the mission of the Tenka Fubu Alliance.

Upon retirement from the Shogun title (December 2006) when he was amicably replaced by the Madazi Shogunate, Lord KoZ resumed his prior focus upon the Okurasho while continuing to hold a number of other positions within the region. Lord KoZ has since retired from all government roles, except to remain as the region's UN Delegate.
