KOP - Knights of the Phoenix
The KOP, or Knights of Phoenix is the "most elite infantry unit on the face of the Earth" or so they claim. Skilled in every aspect of man-to-man fighting, experts in everything from mortars and rocket launchers, to knives and ju-jit-su, these hardcore veteran troops are considered the heart of the Phoenix Milita Armed Forces, and are the first and last defenders of The Phoenix Milita. The are often referred to as KOPs, which intentionally sounds like the slang term for police officer, "cops". KOPs have all of the authority of civilian police, regular military police, and the secret service and more. KOP refers to the individual soldiers who serve in the unit as well as the unit itself.
KOP Unit
The KOP Unit has a maximum membership quota of 42,000, with overflow being kept in the Sons of the Phoenix, or special operations forces of other branches

Uniform
The KOP Battle Dress uniform is unique in its camo patterns which go for confusion over concealment, with obvious attempts to make identification on the battlefield easier, although drab gray and black uniforms exist for operations where concealment is needed.

In the year 2506 a KOP's appearance is much different but the number of KOPs in service remains the same throughout history out of a tradition of exclusivity.
