The Knootian Green Party or Knootiaanse Groene Partij (KGP) is a major political party in Knootoss. The KGP is a green Party, but a broad o­ne at that. While it is ecological, the party headed by Femke Halsema represents most of Knootoss' truly 'left wing' mainstream. It should be noted, however, that the SLP has a left wing as well. The party has been in coalition with the SLP several times, most recently in the first cabinet of Prime Minister Lousewies van der Laan. The party has 62 seats in a parliament with 200 seats. It is currently in the opposition against a right-wing SLP/RCPK coalition.
