History

The Empire of Korbann was founded nearly 745 years ago when Korbannis the Conqueror, a general under the Command of King Karbestus, overthrew Karbestus and took the throne of his homeland Korton. After defeating Karbestus, Korbannis ruled for three years and then set out on a conquest toward the South, where he conquered the Cebes, the Nethiums, the Nerods, and the Dordanis. The method he used during his campaign was that he would order all prisoners of war to work in the mines or smelter to build more weapons. After Korbannis's death, his son, Korben took the throne. Korben was obsessed with gaining more land and he was constantly waging war. But, eventually he died before his son was even born in a battle with Dannic Nobles. After Korben died, his brother, Korbannis II took the throne. Korbannis II was only a moderate leader and there is nothing truly important about him. When Korben's Son, Korias, matured, he took the throne. Korias was more of a writer than a fighter. He wrote the entire 1034 pages of the History of Korbann in about 1 year, but, when Dannic Tribesmen threatened Korr, his literature could do little. After Korias came his son, Konrab, who was another moderate leader, but after Konrab came Konrad I, who was a magnificent ruler. He invented the transportist system, which sends a merchant to the place he is neede most, and there was a good advancement in military technology. After Konrad I, came Konrad II who was a good ruler but there was nothing interesting about him, but after Konrad II's death, they realized he had no heir, and many nobles and barons claimed the right to the throne, resulting in civil war, which lasted at least 100 years. But, in the midst of the Fighting, a Noble from Korr rose up and proved his lineage from Korbannis. This Noble was Lionellus I. After Lionellus I was crowned, he rode out to defeat all the lawless barons and bring order and control to Korbann, but, this was such a difficult and bloody task that it took all his reign to complete it. After Lionellus I came his son, Lionellus II, who was a good leader but the isn't anything interesting about him. After Lionellus II came his son, Imperius the Great, who is the greatest Korbanite Emperor since Konrad I and is the current ruler.

Monarchy

The true form of government that Korbann holds dearly, is not entirely a monarchy, but rather ambiguous. The Korbann's assumes Legislature, Judiciary establishment, and Right of War through the Court and Regal Family. The government of Korbann requires an Imperium Chaplain, who presumes title through bloodline and is the head of all authority and courts in Korbann and its claims, a Viceroy of the Court or 1st Legendurn, who is the second to to the Chaplain, and is the head of the Legislature and Judiciary Systems, A 1st Parliament, that enforces the laws of the Korbic and Catholic Charter and heads all judiciary establishments, The 74 other Legendurns of the Legendurn Court, which passes laws and covers news, A regal Family, the close relatives of the Chaplain who operate in Foreign Balls, Parties, Meetings and charity work, a Legenkolonel, who is the head of all ground forces, a Legenadmiral, who is the head of the Grand Navy, and an official militia, conscription or coalition. Dannic Revolt

On May 19th, three tribes of Dannic pagans, the Charati, the Ikuecli, and the Moroki, snuck into the Korbanite capital of Korr and ignit barrels of black powder in the city's second granary, the smelter and metalsmith, the Imperial Court, the sewage system, and the Imperial Post and the Printing Press. There were also two failed ignition attempts in the Cathedral of God and Mother and underneath the Imerial Palace. They tried nine ignitions because nine is their pagan holy number. After the bombardment, the Imperial Guard and the Dannic Radicals skirmished twice resulting in 17 Dannic deaths and 31 Korbanite Soldier deaths.

Recap Cloak & Dagger Recap

Just brief recap of the goings on in the shadows, as far as I can tell.

1) "The Party," presumably a far left organization, takes over the government of Vinix in a coup.

2) The Republic of Vinix is restored

3) The King of Roodswood and his spymaster, Basil Gutierrez y Egan, decided that it is in the best interests of the Catholic Ocean, Vinix, and the Church to attempt to restore a monarchy and aristocracy in Vinix.

4) Basil Gutierrez y Egan, under the alias "Mr. Darcy" contacts an alleged Roodswoody expatriate and agent who is involved in the government of Vinix, Sr. Ximenez y Fuente, given the code name "Big Mouth."

5) The government of Roodswood decides that the best way to support a restoration of the Monarchy in Vinix is to provide funding for the "Blues," a political faction in Vinix that seeks a similar event.

6) "Big Mouth" funnels money to the Blues from Roodswood through Aerikonian banks.

7) Through unknown agency, "Big Mouth" steals sensitive weapons technology from Korbann and leaks the information to Aerikon. He also leaks information about Roodswood's involvement with the Blues to Korbann, which is then recovered by Osbalstian forces during the war in Korbann. The Chancellor of Osbalstium seems to support Roodswood's desire to restore a monarchy, but not a complete feudal hierarchy.

8) Basil Gutierrez y Egan receives intel from an unknown source regarding Osbalstium's knowledge of Roodswood's involvement with the "Blues." He becomes worried about the whole situation and dispatches his trusted agent, Miles St. Aston, to investigate the whole affair.

9) "Big Mouth" meets with Korbann's military intelligence and takes several Korbannite agents with him into Vinix, presumably to install them in the Vinician government. He strangely makes anti-Catholic remarks at the meeting.

10) "Big Mouth" then returns to Korbann's military in Vinix, and murders the commander of the 13th legion, revealing that the agents he has installed are not really loyal to Korbann, but some unknown group.

11) Miles St. Aston, who had been shadowing Big Mouth, breaks into his home office and steals incriminating information regarding Big Mouth's true allegiance, as well as info on the GAMs.

12) Korbann, presumably with the cooperation of Roodswood, find Big Mouth's location in Vinix, along with those of the double agents. Korbannite agents execute the double agents and prepare to extradite Big Mouth to Roodswood, the country that he is officially an agent of. It is still unknown at this time to whom Sr. Ximenez y Fuente owes his true allegiance.

13) The site of the execution is discovered, and Harry Kunze, a Vinician policeman, arrives to investigate. His operation is quickly taken over by military intelligence.
