Ragnarok-class Airship

RAGNAROK-CLASS

• Type: Attack Craft
• Airships of this class: IAS Ragnarok, IAS Apocalypse, IAS Armageddon
• Armament: nose-mounted Gatling gun, Apocalypse Smart Missiles

The Ragnarok-class ships are really no "airships" in the strict sense of the word. They can leave the atomsphere of the earth, and should thus be considered to be spaceships. But they are mainly used within the atomsphere, were they can travel at extreme speeds with their rocket engines. Even though the Gradius-class is much newer, the Ragnarok-class can thus still be considered the class of airships with the highest technology involved.

APOCALYPSE-CLASS

The RAGNAROK-CLASS' IAS Apocalypse had such severe modifications that it spawned a new airship class itself: the Apocalypse Class. Considerably slower, the Apocalypse was capable of prolongued atmospheric and spatial operations and carried Apocalypse missiles instead of the gatling guns of the Ragnarok.

The newest and most prestigous class of Imperial Air Ships.
