The Armed Republic of Kratostan is a tiny, devout nation located in the region of Q102, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 7 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Religion & Spirituality, and Education. The average income tax rate is 16%. A large private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports industry, followed by Retail and Furniture Restoration.
Voting is compulsory, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, euthanasia is legal, and all major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras. Crime is moderate, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Kratostan's national animal is the rabid eagle and its currency is the krat.

Overview
History
The Armed Republic of Kratostan (ARK) was established on 14 June 2005 in the region of the North Pacific. The people of Kratostan originally come from the territory of New Kratos, a NationState funded years ago under the leadership of Chrono Guru. During unknown circumstances, most of the population of New Kratos (while concentrated in its capital city) disappeared. The remaining citizens would then experience a series of time-space disturbances which led to their being scattered throughout different worlds and dimensions. Thanks to the brilliance of Erkhait, the Gatherer, millions were brought together once again. After claming some land, ARK was informed of the existence of Q102. A quick concensus was followed and soon the newly formed Armed Republic joined the region.
National Sports
Quirozom is not only the leader of ARK, he is also the owner of a soccer team, the Rabid Eagles. The team plays in the Mexican League of Hattrick and is doing ok. They train and host local games in the Jedi Temple Stadium.
