Kuldiga Palace was originally the residence of the Baron of Kuldiga. After King Alsgood, the Great unified the Highland Kingdom of Excalbia, the Palace became one of the residences of the Imperial family. The Palace is located outside the medieval city of Kuldiga and has served variously as a summer residence for the Imperial family and the seat of high ranking members of the family. Currently, the palace is the official residence of both the sister of Emperor David IV, Princess Christiana, and his nephew, Prince Peter. The City of Kuldiga meanwhile has become an arts community, hosting several theatres and a major opera house.
