La Côte d'Est

La Côte d'Est is a duchy located along the eastern coast of mainland Pantocratoria, although it does not encompass the entire eastern coast, just the area east of New Rome, ending before the Gulf of Verdi. This coastal region includes no major cities, although its many small towns enjoy a booming tourism trade, which forms the basis of the duchy's economy (with its traditional reliance on fishing now well and truly a thing of the past). La Côte d'Est is noted for the mainland's most beautiful beaches, although trips to the beach are often marred by unpredictable weather. Duke Henri de la Côte d'Est is duchy's hereditary landholder.
