Laputian is one of the primary languages of Litocanae, along with Laputian. It is the oldest language spoken in Litocanae. However, only about 10% of the population speak it. It is spoken mainly in the north.

Characters

The Laputian language is made up of nearly 320,000 base characters. There are seven additional diacritical marks than can be used in numerous combinations. Many people switched to Naskirit because of the extreme difficulty in learning all of the Laputian characters.

Grammar

Grammar in Laputian is very weird. Because of the way the words are, there is basically no real set syntax of a sentence. Many people use an SOV word order (subject, object, verb; I the dog hit), though theoretically one could throw words together in any random order without changing the meaning of a sentence in the slightest.
