Larry La Planza is a Starblaydi swimmer. His speciality stroke is the Freestyle, for which he was sent by the Starblaydi Athletic Association to the Tyrellian Ylompic Games in Casari to compete.

He was entered in the 50m Freestyle, 100m Butterfly, 100m Freestyle, 4x100m Freestyle and 4x100m Medley events. He failed to qualify for the Final of the 50 Free, and was 4th in the 100m Butterfly behind silver medallist Randy Richter. He was also 8th in the 100m Freestyle.

The more-powerful of the Starblaydi swimmers sent to the games, Larry was the anchor leg of the 4x100 Freestyle event, for which Starblaydia won their first swimming gold. Andy Goodwin, Randy Richter, Kevin Lee and Larry himself qualified third-fastest for the Final and then improved upon their combined time by a tenth of a second in the Final to take Gold, a third of a second ahead of their nearest competitors. The relay team's dominance was soon shown as the exact same four-man combination won the 4x100 Medley relay.
