Laser weapon

Laser weapons emit a beam of focussed light. The short duration of the high energy beam produces a rapid temperature change, causing the target area to vapourise in a small explosion. lasguns are driven by a fast discharge generator, which comrpises of most of the Lasgun mechanism, and store energy for each shot. Actual beam enegry is regulated, to prevent overpowering, which makes the lasgun a fairly reliable weapon. It is also regulated by the one-shot battery that is used as a round. When discharged the bolt-action throws the one-use battery clear. This weapon was developed in Martian Midlonia for use as an "Anti-Everything" weapon with its ability to penetrate tank armour with fair precision, however the complications behind the construction of the weapon limit its use and numbers.
