History

The 14th of June, the year 2006, the small country Lecknes was founded, by a big ceremony in the capital, Fredericktown. The King, Christian Fredrik I., announced the birth of a democratic soscialist regime.

The founding was a result of years of talking between the tribes who dwelled the region before. They were technically backwards, and their leaders were old, grumpy men, who didn't want to leave their power, nor were they especially found of foreigners. But, the most of them were convinced into the Federation of Lecknes, named after the last name of the first king, King Christian Fredrik I. The Federation soonly began their work for welfare, and the government was ready just days before the founding.

Just one day after the funding, a great revolution of the economy began. Cars were forbidden, and the automobile munfacturing industry became crashed. Many people got unemployed, and the sales of life-insurances got up, since the ones with the jobs feared an revolution, and then wanted economically security. Ironic, the growing insurance sector then employed most of the unemployed and so on. Later on, gambling was officially supported by the goverment, and the gambling sector grew into being the largest sector of the country. Locals renamed the country to 'New Las Vegas', and tourists from neighbouring countries flocked to the casinos.

18th of June, 2006 the first, ever, election were held. Karp Pjedoska from the Lecknesian Centrist Coalition (LCC) were elected prime minister, with 44,9 % of the votes. The last prime minister, Christian Fredrik I., also the king and leader of a temporary government, got just 9,2% of the votes. 'The public want changes', mr. Pjedoska said in a statement, 'and I'm going to make them happen', he continued, after serious sneezing.

After several months of anarchy, the country ceased to exist on the 29th of September 2006.
