History
Leocardia, starting out, had a huge history in NationStates, dating back to the era of MagicChina's godmoding reign to the formation of WMNK Coalition. Although due to inactivity, Leocardia was once again refounded.
It dated back in the era of the Dark Ages. Leocardia was a newly born civilization, with a balance of defensive, as well as social equality. Diverse cultures collided and created hostile tribes. When imperialists came, the Leocardians finally figured that they can repel invaders by working together. Teaching each other their war tactics in the diverse environments of Leocardia. Soon, with the inventions of modern guns, Leocardian transformed their army into one of the largest in NationStates history.
When the battle of political power came to Leocardia, it was time for immediate action. Through its long history of teamwork and massive-vote law and order, Leocardia had been disturbed by two different sides of the ideals: Socialism and Nationalism. Riots broke out in the streets as Leocardia's current government was under pressure by its citizens. For months, these disputes broke out time by time, and action was needed to control these disputes. Settlements were issued to the two party leaders and the development of Communism formed in Leocardia.
When Communism spread into Leocardia, its neighboring nations feared it would spread to the intent of taking over its neighboring political power. The red scare, again, was in effect, though because of Leocardia's massive size, its neighbors in the region feared they would have no chance compared to the massive population of the Communism-favored nation.
The USSNB, also known as The Northern Baltic was a Socialist country in the region, and it was already known that operations were being performed on spreading its ideology. Leocardia had to maintain its borders to prevent a USSNB breakout by Leocardians influenced with Socialist ideologies. This led to a massive border crisis, and military of Leocardia's Red Guard was deployed. Everywhere on the borders of Leocardia and USSNB, Leocardian Red Guards were all over it. Bunkers were actively manned by Leocardian forces, and open deserts were patrolled every 5 minutes by Leocardian Armor Division. Aerial defenses were even used, incase of a threatened invasion.
This unnecessary movement caused Leocardia to its first Great Depression. More money was being spent for Leocardia's armed forces than for its economy. With the economy degrading, and armed forces at tip top shape, Leocardia had turned into a deep military nation, with a leader under militaristic rule. This was bad news for Leocardia, as it hoped to reform its nation into an economic powerhouse. The civilians of Leocardia was outnumbered compared to its armed forces, and the Leocardian Legislature Branch declared state of emergency for its economic reasons.
Years later, Leocardia was in the shape of modern-day North Korea today, though its massive population is its weakness, it had no choice but invade a neighbor for its capital reserves. Millions of Leocardian soldiers invaded Teh FireLand and captured all its key economic cities in hopes for a economic miracle. The result was a miracle, but it wasn't enough to change all of Leocardia. Leocardia's Armed Forces soon realized that with over 80 million soldiers, it was no point having a military this size, without a threatening enemy or enemy to threaten. Its training begun to teach its soldiers to learn to become a citizen, and teaching them economics and how to bring Leocardia back to its feet, economically.
Leocardia's economic miracle happened later, when its military encourages half of its troop count to become citizens, and educate them by all means. The economy leaped 454% and its capital budget was hitting record highs. Minimum wage hit an all time high at $13.40/hour and soon technological development reached to advancement.

Official Appearance
Leocardia's first official appearance was in Pythogria's Makoki Isles expeditionary, when President Jason Batista sent a pack of Leocardian Royal Navy force into the Isles to claim its territory. At the same time, Pythogria and other countries in Makoki Isles were fighting Robistius. Leocardia fought against particularily Pythogrian forces, and the battle ended over a treaty.
A similiar battle with Pythogria happened a few years later. Fights broke out and tensions rose when Leocardia invaded Pythogria. Leocardian allies and Pythogrian allies battled heavily at both sides, each losing more than a million soldiers from each side, Pythogria was struck and went inactive. Though the war was at its cliffhanger, Leocardia declared victory with no enemy.
Over a series of time, Leocardia became inactive also, and when time came back for Leocardia, it was time for the overthrow of President Jason Batista. Revolutionary armies, as well as private, marched into the capital city of Leocardia, KiK City, and massacred 22,000 people. Leocardia's military forces quelled the violence and left everything back to normal. Jason managed to keep control of Leocardia, and the Leocardian Army wiped out the private forces, though many still remain and are called "terrorists".
Within another few years, Leocardia was struck by another civil war. Revolutionary Warriors, naming themselves Rekustans, declared war on the Leocardian Communist Government. With Mationbuds aiding the rebels, casualties for Leocardia escalated. The situation began growing to nowhere. Mationbuds' Imperial Navy was present, but thanks to The Northern Baltic and Lord Sumguy's aids, Leocardia was able to repel against the Imperial forces. Meanwhile, in the civil war, an agreement had been reached with Rekustan rebels and Leocardian officials, ending the war in an agreement. Mationbuds quickly retreated and Leocardia had regained control.
Months later, an increased opposition of Socialism and Communism arised. Increased movements to eliminate the ideologies were moving strong, and Leocardia was threatened. ThePeoplesFreedom was one of the nations, which fights broke out. Leocardia was the aggressor, aiding North Calaveras while they were being invaded by ThePeoplesFreedom. Another great war struck, and now it was ThePeoplesFreedom and allies at war with Leocardia and allies. Lets just say it got nasty.
Geography
Leocardia is located in the Territories of South Arctica. It is divided into 5 provinces. They are (smallest to largest): Hunit, Nagier, Majhi, Refuer, and Cardia. Leocardia's capital city, KiK City, is located inside of Cardia.
Cardia's terrain is mostly mountaineous, supplying the majority of the spring water for the nation as whole. It is located on the Northern end of Leocardia Hunit and Majhi are located in central Leocardia, where the deserts are vast. Nagier is located on the Westside of Leocardia, while Refuer is located on the Eastside. Both regions contain the most fetile lands, and are used to agriculture for Leocardia.
Military Background
In the beginning of time, Leocardia had advanced rapidly in terms of technological weaponry as well as population. Researchers say that Leocardia had once had an army of 50 million in 1400 BC. It was then, Leocardia begun to focus on national leadership and teamwork that made it slouch behind with the world. When imperialists came to conquer the vast lands of Leocardia, the hostile tribes in Leocardia knew they had to act quick before it was too late. They responded to rapid, immediate training; sharing multiple terrain war tactics; and different types of weapons each tribe had created. With this diversity, Leocardia was able to expel the imperialist and claim its independence.
Soon, Leocardia focused on technological advances, now that hostile tribes learned to cope with each other peacefully. Year by year, technology grew and soon toppled over into the international community.
When it became the superdreadnaught era, it was Leocardia's main focus to develop their own superdreadnaught. However, this required Leocardia years of research and technological advances to reach the status of developing their own. It took Leocardia years to gain the technology to support, and even more years to develop their first SD. At the first couple makes, Leocardia's navy had dropped in rankings with the modern world. The ships were no match against modern ships in their class. This discovery drove Leocardia to produce another highly developed superdreadnaught. Within more years, the new Juki SD had finally touched sea. The newest guns were considerably the most powerful, and speed was the factors.
When the Leocardian Civil War struck against the radical Rekustans and the Communist Leocardians, Leocardia's new enemy was Mationbuds who supported the Rekustans in both economical and arms. When the Mationbuds delivered several military for the Rekustans, Leocardian Type 96 MBTs were fought against surprises from Mationbuds-aided tanks. It was then realized that even with the modified Leocardian Type 96 MBT with its bigger gun and extra armor, it was still no match against modern-day Mationbuds MBTs. This called for an immediate joint-development production with Leocardia's allies: The Northern Baltic and Lord Sumguy. The current tank is under development and is on its testing phase.
Military
The Leocardian Army currently consists of 13,293,280 soldiers, including five million special forces units. The ground forces are well equipped and modernized with the latest available technological advancements. The standard rifle for Leocardia is the QBZ-95 Assault Rifle, and the standard sidearm is the Glock 18 handgun. There are 15 different special operations forces units currently existing in Leocardia, such as the Lion Guard, Nightster, and EMR Team. Because of the agreement with the Leocardian Government and Rekustans, Rekusta now belongs to Leocardia, therefore their army is an additional 4 million, including the Rekustan elite.
Recently, the LeoMilitia had been announced to be a state-sponsored terrorist organization funded heavily by the Leocardian Communist Government. As a separate branch of the Army, the LeoMilitia consists of 650,000 militias enlisted. This militia group, sometimes called "special forces" have been extensively trained to combat using guerilla warfare tactics, most notably urban warfare. The primary rifle for the militia is the AK-101, as well as hand-held RPGs.
The Leocardian Naval Forces (LNF) currently has 1,239,439 personnel serving. The navy is a rapid, enormous force containing mostly modernized ships, and if not, modified. The most popular ship is the Juki SD, known to withstand several ships at once. There is not much information of the size of the navy, but it was once ranked the top 10 in the NationStates world.
The Leocardian Airforce (LAF) consists of 6,495,399 personnels. It is the most modernized, and is able to produce its own version of modified fighters and bombers under the LAF series. The fighters are mainly derived from Russian decent, as well as combining Chinese influence and American weaponry. With a blend, the LAF is able to combine these three elements and become a leading superpower in the airforce industry. The LAF currently is producing massively in its LAF-47A4 multirole, air-superiority fighter, which is considerably a 5.5th generation fighter.
