Letila is a confederation of anarchist communes. The main ethnic group is Letilan, though small communities of Hispanics and Otaku can be found throughout Letila. It is overall a very tolerant nation and highly decentralized as well.

Political System
Letila is not a nation in the traditional sense, but a collection of anarchist communes linked by rotating councils. There is thus no true president or monarch as a result. Decision-making varies, depending on the commune, but ranges from concensus to direct democracy and various combinations of them.
Poverty is nonexistant and it is very rare for someone to be unemployed or homeless, making most forms of crime quite rare. Psychologically, Letila enjoys many boons that further reduce crime and give it a remarkably low rate of homicide, rape, and other violent crimes, which helps make it's lack of a centralized state viable.
Economics
Letilan economics are essentially communist in nature. Money does not exist in the majority of communities. Instead, people agree to work for the commune in exchange for their needs being met. Like the government, the economy is without any real hierarchy. There are no rich and poor people, no bosses or workers. The economy is coördinated by federations and rotating councils like the political structure.
The result of all this is a healthy community life and no poverty. Workdays are short and working conditions are excellent.
Education
There is no centralized center of education, though the confederations that make up Letila do work out a basic set of educational standards. For the most part, though, education is handled locally, resulting in much variation.
Demographics
Language
The official language of Letila is Letilan, a highly agglutinative language with no known relatives. Japanese and Spanish are spoken widely. English is spoken in a few areas, though it is not particularly common.

Letilan is written in the Letilan script. While many Japanese speakers still use the standard kanji and kana, many others use an adapted form of the Letilan script as well. Most Spanish and English speakers also use a form of Letilan writing in preference to the Roman alphabet.

History
Letila has been relatively isolationist throughout its history. Since it's beginings after the fall of Terra Pvlchra and its rebirth as Letila, it has always had a strong radical streak and a bitter anger at oppression and destruction. Soon after its founding, Letila went anarchist with little if any bloodshed.
It has occasionally participated in the outside world, favoring communist and anarchist movements and sometime even risking lives to help the oppressed, but for the most part, Letilans aren't very optimistic about the prospects of such ventures as there is so much authoritarianism outside Letila, a fact which tends to strongly reinforce isolationist tendencies.
Technology Base
Letila is an advanced technological nation with nuclear fusion. At the same time, it is a deeply philosophical nation and most Letilans have strongly negative views about many forms of technology, believing they could destroy humanity. As a result, cybernetics and many of the more polluting technologies are highly unpopular.
There are many who disagree with this stance, however, and feel that the general attitude threatens to hold Letila back technologically and make it uncompetitive.
