Liang Jui-te is a West Ariddian businessman who ran unsuccessfully for the 2143 presidential election, representing the Free Democratic Party.

Liang was born and raised in the West Ariddian capital, Aqeyr, and set up his business there. He made his fortune in Yumbi nutribars, tasty and nutritious fruit and cereal bars which are a household name in West Ariddia. He was chosen to represent the FDP in the 2143 presidential election, campaigning on a promise to preserve a free market and begin a gradual transition towards anarcho-capitalism, in close consultation with the public. He finished in the lead in the first round of the election, with 45.06% of the vote, but obtained "only" 49.93% in the second round, losing to communist candidate Banita Sho. Liang was, however, elected to Parliament, and is de facto current leader of the Opposition.

Liang speaks English, French and Mandarin; he is almost fluent in Wymgani, and has conversational abilities in Japanese.
