The Liberal Neo-Imperial party is currently the most powerful and most prominent political party in the Tocrowkian Reich. Formed just before the start of the Tocrowkian revolution, it was the brain child of several like minded Nobles within the Tocrowkian Reich, mostly the House of Mahone, who used the party both as a form of revenge against their enemies in the House of Reinhard for stripping them of their wealth during the Communist regime, and to regain power.

History & Formation

Even before January 12th, members of the Neo-Imperial party had begun plotting the downfall of the Bolshevist Regime. Formed by, and it's membership consisting mostly of members of Noble Houses, Landowners and Corporate CEOs, sporadic groups began to resist against the communist government.

Of all the varying groups within the resistance, one in particular had the charisma to bring them together. The Noble House of Mahone, and it's youngest son, Seth organized the various rebels together into one cohesive, political force. Though his ambitions were primarliy for the people, he had a more personal goal; Revenge.

The Reinhard family and his own were political rivals, and had been for at least two centuries. At various times through out history, they competed with each other for the throne of the Steward. And when the Reinhard's rose to power under the veil of communism, they did not resist the opportunity to strip their rivals of their wealth. With his family honor and the fate of the Tocrowkian people on his mind, Mahone went fourth, dead-set on restoring both to their former glory.

Tocrowkian Revolution

On January 14th, the now isolationist Neo-Bolshevist party faced wide-spread revolt around the country from various political groups, ranging from die-hard communists wishing to distance themselves from the Neo-Bolshevist party, to fascist and religious fundamentalist movements.

The Neo-Imperialist party had to contend not only with the Bolshevists, but these other groups as well in it's quest for power. Due to the Tocrowkian Armed Forces policy of neutrality during the conflict, each group relied on paramilitary groups.

The Imperialist's own paramilitary group, the Freiheitkämpfers (Often simply called the S.F.) managed to secure large stocks of ammunition and weapons early on, and several hundred officers opted to join the party early on, which gave it a considerable advantage over it's rivals. The Imperialist parties power was further bolstered by the fact several prominent members of the Bolshevist party became disillusioned with it and defected to the Imperialists, bringing with them vital intelligence.

After weeks of intensive fighting, resulting in the loss of thousands of S.F. members and millions of civilian casualties in Northern Tocrowkia, S.F. forces in Pharamas, under the command of Seth Mahone finally managed to capture the Reichstag, capturing the most senior leaders of the Bolshevist party in the process, thus ending the Tocrowkian revolution.

Current Trends

After gaining power, the Neo-Imperialist party made sure to destroy all rival groups, using the power of the now military, which was now under their command, intelligence operations and the S.F. to consolidate their power.

it currently holds the highest membership and holds every single seat in the Interior Ministry. Though after security was restored, the party has not oppressed other political groups arising, these groups have not been allowed to hold rallies or advertise their goals in most major cities.

Even though the party has also promised not to cancel the annual elections in November, some liberal thinkers have questioned the true goals of the party as dozens of detractors and critics have either died mysteriously or disappeared, never to be heard from again after expressing their dislike of the current regime.

Political Positions

Stated political, economic and social postiosn of the Liberal Neo-Imperial Party are as follows:

  • Mixed economics, taking the best qualities from both socialist and capitalist economic systems. (Free market, but with high tax rates to allow the Government to provide welfare, free health care, etc)
  • A strong emphasis on "Nordic Identity" and a reverence for Tocrowkian culture and society, above most others.
  • 'Progressive' rights, with tolerance of minority groups such as homosexuals, Jews and Muslims, but utter disdain of the Furry lifestyle.
  • A fully professional military, with conscription reserved for national emergencies.

Miscellaneous

  • Due to the reasons it was formed, and it's experience during the revolution, the song "Street Fighting Man" by the Rolling Stones is the official theme song of the party.
