The Londinian Domo-kun (Gorilla londamonstrum) is one of three members of the gorilla genus. It serves as the national animal of British Londinium and is the defining feature on the reverse side of the five cicero banknote.
Male domo-kuns are known as virs, while a female domo-kun is known as a mulier. Youth domo-kuns are referred to as juevenes.

Historical and cultural value
The widespread population of domo-kuns in British Londinium has led to their status as a almost-revered creature - since 1560, it has been illegal to kill a domo-kun in any circumstance excepting self-defence.
Physical description
The Londinian domo-kun is a brown, fuzzy creature that stands about 2.3 metres high (average adult height). The feature sharp, white teeth designed mainly for the consumption of meat, though they possess the capacity to consume vegetables and fruits, which they often do.
Behaviour
Highly intelligent creatures, the domo-kun is able to use crude, primitive tools, and have achieved a level of technological capacity equivalent to that of the ancient Greeks, with some exceptions. Domo-kuns prefer to live in communities ranging from ten to two hundred members. Like Homo sapiens, the domo-kun is also able to walk upright, and does so as its preferred method of transport. Unlike chimpanzees and gorillas, a domo-kun community is tightly knit, and members of the community work together in a variety of exploits - a contributing factor to their success as a species. If allowed the space and time, a domo-kun population will utilise their ability to make tools to excavate large caves, and will then proceed to make vast cave-cities, drilling holes in the roof to allow for light to come through.
The Londinian government, in an attempt to care for the domo-kuns, has assisted them in construction efforts, and as helped them pursue their favourite activity: watching television.
Habitat and diet
Domo-kuns can consume both plant and animal products. Most biologists agree domo-kuns are omnivorous, with a slight preference towards meat.. A minority believes that anatomically, they are primarily frugivorous, many members of which avoid consuming food of animal origin. Early members of Gorilla londamonstrum employed a "hunter-gatherer" methodology as their primary means of food collection, involving combining stationary plant and fungal food sources (such as fruits, grains, tubers, and mushrooms) with wild game which must be hunted and killed in order to be consumed. Methods of culinary preparation are used by domo-kuns, but a small minority prefers to eat raw food.
