Lures Or the Armed Republic of Lures is the newest nation in The Black Desert. Putting its newness aside it is comparetivley sucessfull and is a prominent presence in the region.

Lures at a glance:

The Armed Republic of Lures is a fairly large, pleasant nation, notable for its burgoning basilisk population. Its hard-nosed population of 20.2 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often. The Consul and the president’s advisors have a big say, but it is decided by the leader what will be decided for the country. Lures economy is based around farming and industry and it is also is known for its making of nuclear weapons.

Government:

Lures is a Republic and the citizens have a right to vote. Although they only vote for the Presidential elections and Consul, the Consul is a large group of people that make all the other decisions. Still, the president has the final say in all of the issues of importance. Advisors of the president are very important to the success to the government of Lures. They help the president on the difficult decisions, and are a valuable asset to the progression of Lures.

The president:

The citizens prefer the name Springer the Great because it shows the pride and greatness of Lures and its leaders. They can also call him President Springer, but that is known as an insult to his honor. He is the most powerful man in the country, but all past presidents were not known to abuse it. He was the power to veto bills, laws, and all other forms of suggestions. He has a large number of advisors that help him make important decisions. The president serves a term of 8 years, and cannot be re-elected.

Advisers:

Advisors are a very important group of people in the government. They help make decisions and give suggestions to the president to help him not do something that is not in the best interest of Lures. They serve a term up to 4 years, and may be re-elected.

Local Leaders:

The main local leaders are the Governors of the three major cities. There are 100 people in the consul and 25 advisors. Consolers serve 2 an1/2 year term, and may be re-elected. Right now, the government is in the process of building Capital buildings for each of the cities.

People:

The people of Lures are from all over the world, but most of its ancestors came from Skitsojd. They ran to Lures of because of the mistreatment of Protestants in the Country. Firstly, before it was known as Lures, it was known as The Free People’s States and had a very simple government. People kept coming and kept bringing different religions, traditions, and beliefs. They are free to vote and speak there mind. It has many traits of the United States but is not the same. On an equally interesting note it also gives the chance for everybody to choose their own destiny weather it be success or failure.

Religion:

Lures's religion is pronominally Christian, but all religions are accepted. There was discrimination against Jews at one time but only for a small fragment in history. Since then Judaism has become the second largest practiced religion in Lures next to Christianity. The biggest church in the region is in Three Rivers City and is called The Holy House of God. It brings in many visitors from around the world and is probably Lures’s most inspiring monument, the diamond state of Saint Joan of Arc.

Military:

The military is not the largest, but is well trained and disciplined. The general’s name is General Spencer Bullock and he is one of the best tactical commanders of his time. Although it is small, it is moving ahead in technology and weapons. Its air force is a competitive force in the region, but its navy is not so decorated. It is still looking for a great admiral and believes they have found one in Admiral Hartman.

History:

The history of Lures is rich with culture and tradition. Dubghaul traditions greatly influenced the culture of Lures, and the two have remained allies since Lures’s formation. The leaders of these two great countries are (in their area) considered the greatest leaders of the land. Happily they have remained friends even to today. The country of Lures was born in the year 1728.

The nomadic wars:

These wars did not directly effect Lures but it did influence it thru decreased trade with Dubghaul and in few nomadic attacks. A moderate amount of troops were sent from Lures to help defend it's allie Dubghaul and the two forces succeded in warding off the nomadic threat.
