The Armed Republic of Lush Green Fields is a huge, populous nation, currently in India. A Corporate presence overlooks every single function of the government. The citizens do not enjoy many civil rights and liberties. According to the government, this total control of the population keeps the citizens safe and healthy. Lush Green Fields is a very economically powerful nation, with a low tax rate. Many international companies have set up headquarters here, due to the immensely corporate friendly government which agrees to each and every whim of the corporate giants. Terian is one such powerful corporate which has close ties to the government. It is owned by Meniar Hernan, the leader of the nation and it is thus rumoured that the board of directors is actually the true government.

History
Origin
Lush Green Fields was once exactly what its name implies. The empty stretches of greenery were inhabited by a group of indigenous tribes. It was invaded in the late 1600's by colonial settlers. The tribes were forced to submit to the new rule, but the settlers were mostly benevolent and allowed the tribes people to live their lives which were now much improved. By the 1800's the population was a generous interspersing of the two races. It was now named Grenarda
Seat of Power
The First Election
In the mid 1800's, the people started to demand more rights among which was the right to vote for a government. Fearing a revolt, the rulers set up elections. These were more or less a sham as the ballots were clearly rigged. The results saw the rulers win. The people had had enough. They revolted with spirit and overthrew the then King Hewer III on 16 November 1858 a date still celebrated as independence day. A government was set up following an election which saw an almost 100% turnout.
The Coup
In 1984, the Army Chief, Meniar Hernan assassinated the Prime Minister Norin Effer and seized power. He assumed the title The Founder and started a dictatorship.
Change in Name
Grenarda was officially renamed The Armed Republic of Lush Green Fields on 21 May, 1985 after Meniar Hernan decided that he did not want to be reminded of the old government.
Corporate Power
Meniar Hernan bought several shares in huge multinational companies using the state coffers. He was soon on the Board of many companies. The nation of Lush Green Fields was soon a sort of corporate HQ for Meniar Hernan's own company Terian, a huge company with interests in agricultural products among others.
Geography
Topography
The nation has a chain of mountains, called the Tertsus, surrounding it from three sides with the Relas sea on the fourth side. The rest of the nation is an unremarkable land with not many topographical features. A river called The Rhonder flows through the the nation, starting from the Yeria springs in the Tertsus and going down to the Yeria. The capital, Rhondria is founded on its bank.
Climate
The weather is generally cool during the summer, but extremely harsh during winters. Snowstorms are common and areas near or on the mountains are susceptible to avalanches. As a result of this the population density in and around these mountains is very low.
The annual average temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius, but this is slowly rising. Many have attributed this to the high pollution levels in the country.

Lush Green Fields is divided into 6 states each further sub-divided into districts.
People
Nationality
The problem with such a name is that no one knows what to call people from Lush Green Fields. Generally citizens of Lush Green Fields are called Lushites, but this is not official.
Language
The official language is English with Hindi being recognized too. Apart from these, Spanish and French are widely spoken too.

Education
Lush Green Fields has strict educational guidelines which must be followed by all. A minimum 10+2 passing certificate is required and any citizen may be asked to produce it on demand.
Primary Education
Although most parents choose to teach their children the basics like the alphabet and counting, various state sponsored primary schools are available. These schools also act as day care centers to care for children while their parents work. These schools provide the basic education any citizen of the world deserves.
Elementary Education
At the age of five, children are enrolled in the various government controlled elementary schools. This education is provided free of cost to all students. Students are taught language skills, elementary mathematics skills and basic knowledge of the sciences.
Military Education
At the age of nine children are required to join the Academy of Armed Combat. Here they are put through rigorous physical training while maintaining the excellent standards of education.
The day begins at 4:00 AM with an exercise session. Breakfast is at six. Classes begin at eight and continue till two with an hour for lunch in between. Then their is a training session from four to seven. Children can then relax till dinner at 8:30 PM after which it is lights out.
Higher Education
After passing the Academy, at the age of sixteen, students are put through aptitude tests which determine the direction they must take. This is strictly enforced and no student may take up any stream not recommended in the results.
Service
After receiving their 10+2 certificate, all candidates are required to join the Grand Army of Lush Green Fields for a compulsory five year military service.
University of Reghon
The state of Reghon is home to the University of Reghon, a sprawling facility with provisions to accommodate 5 million students. The subjects taught include, Technology, Medicine, Commerce, Administration among others. The University is internationally acclaimed and students from other nations are often seen here.
The University provides Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral degrees.
