Confederacy of Lylybium

A nation in the European Continent. People directly elect government positions and are allowed to do almost everything they want, to an extent. People may not have the most civil rights, but it is because they allow the omni-present government to control many aspects of life. This system of the People-Government Cycle may seem confusing, but the people of Lylybium seem happy with it.
The Lylybium Government is divided among seperate and equal states. The states meet in an organization similar to a parliment, but there is no sumpreme leader. Political Parties are relatively small and there are many.
The economy is mostly controled by the government, but many citizens work in Mining and Foresting Industries which are not centraly-controlled. The currency is The Euro, as is the currency of all the Union of Nations.
