Ma-Nenya

Ma-Nenya, Province of (AKA Iluvauromen Capital of Ma-Nenya)

Including the city of Nenya and inclusive of several thousand square miles of land surrounding that city, the Province of Ma-Nenya is a gorgeous, environmentally-preserved Province of the ICEL. Famed for the Aelinenya (Lake Nenya), Nenya Forest, and its stunning view of the Tumnórëan Mountains, this place of exceptional natural beauty is home to millions of different species of animals, as well as three Sentient species - Nenyans, Humans, and Quendi Elves - of which there are some three hundred seventy-five million living in the Province, the majority in the Dawn City of Nenya. The Province of Ma-Nenya receives the most tourists per year of all three Earth-based ICEL Provinces - a startling one hundred million foreigners pass through the area every year, with the intention of soaking up the outstanding sights and sounds of one of the most beautiful places - rare, as it is left virtually untouched, despite the intense Sentient inhabitation.

The Province includes the City of Nenya and the surrounding lands, to the edge of the Bay of Turath (see Turath also) to the south, and to the foot of Mount Tumnórë and the Tumnórëan Mountains in the north, where the international border between ICEL and the Kingdom of Tumnórë lies. To the east lies the Rhea-Shelbattanu River network, which runs south past Tek, capital of the Province of Ma-tek, to the city of Rhea-Shelbattanu; and to the west runs the River Rapid unto the Bay of Turath to the south and the Tumnórëan Mountains in the north - which are largely uncrossable except by air.
