Major Oglethorpian bases

All major Oglethorpian bases are located in the Bureaucratic States of Oglethorpia's five primary cities. The division of the armed forces branches amongst the five primary military bases was based upon what the Defense Bureau decided was the most advantageous to maintaining national secuirity.

List of Oglethorpian military bases

The following is a list of all of the Bureaucratic States Aggregated Armed Forces's military bases within the nation. They are;

• Megalopolis City Aggregated Army & Air Force Base
• Sheffingham Aggregated Army & Air Force Base
• Steerford Aggregated Army & Air Force Base
• Allergiers Aggregated Naval & Air Force Base
• Polyesterhampton Aggregated Naval, Army & Air Force Base

Polyesterhampton in the south provides clear access to the southeastern Oglethorpian coast on the Brine Sea, as well as easy access to the Stanigramistan border. Similarly, Steerford is within miles of the west-Stanigramistan border.

Allergiers in the north serves a similar role as Polyesterhampton, with its ports on the Tar Pin Sea allowing for naval patrol of the country's northern coasts. Megalopolis City's base can quickly deploy assets to the Kingsford, Swedeway and Faxivania border while Sheffingham maintains the integrity of the midlands.

Common base features

With property at a premium, great expense has gone into designing the five primary military bases to take up as little acreage as possible. A common attribute of all the military bases is the usage of underground storage, primarily used to cut down the amount of space occupied by Aggregated Army units, but occassionally to store Aggregated Air Force assets as well.

Barracks for all Aggregated Armed Forces personnel are three stories in height, partially sunken into the ground, again reflecting the need to conserve land and build up.

Another notable feature of all the bases is their use of an abbreviated aircraft runway, in addition to a traditionally sized runway. Intending to cut down on the amount of tarmac necessary, the smaller runway, dedicated to Aggregated Air Force SDP-5 jets, utilizes the accelerated takeoff technology present on Oglethorpian Inconceivable-class aircraft carriers.

Based at Megalopolis City Aggregated Army & Air Force Base (MCAAAFB) are;

• Oglethorpian 1st Army Division

Sheffingham AA&AFB

Based at Sheffingham Aggregated Army & Air Force Base (SHAAAFB) are;

• Oglethorpian 2nd Air Squadron
• Oglethorpian 2nd Army Division

Steerford AA&AFB

Based at Steerford Aggregated Army & Air Force Base (STAAAFB) are;

• Oglethorpian 3rd Air Squadron
• Oglethorpian 3rd Army Division

Allergiers AN&AFB

Based at Allergiers Aggregated Navy & Air Force Base (AANAFB) are;

• Oglethorpian North Home Fleet
• Oglethorpian Reserve Home Fleet
• Oglethorpian 4th Air Squadron

Polyesterhampton ANA&AFB

Based at Polyesterhampton Aggregated Navy, Army & Airforce Base (PANAAFB) are;

• Oglethorpian 1st South Home Fleet
• Oglethorpian 2nd South Home Fleet
• Oglethorpian 5th Air Squadron
• Oglethorpian 4th Army Division
