Malgerian War

The Malgerian War, a conflict of ideologies which degenerated into the genocidal slaughter of most of a Malgeria's population for the convenience of the occupying nation is considered to be by liberal nations as an example of colonialism taken to the extreme. In many ways, the war was more bloody than any fought in the present day, involving carpet bombing of urban centers, use of poison gas, including VX and blister agent, on civilians and the wholesale slaughter of Malgerian citizenry by Parthian soldiers. Other accusations include the deliberate targetting of the nation's water supplies and desalinization plants and crops to induce a famine which killed even more people than even the Parthian army.

Before the Conflict

Most scholars agree the Parthians mostly started the conflict or even were completley responsible for the war, considering that all the Malgerians did to provoke Parthia was exist. In January 2005, the Malgerian people deposed their pro-western King, Fasad, after years of insurgency and replaced the monarchy with an Islamic fundamentalist regime. Though initially, most nations were receptive to the new nation and eager for better relations, a certain arrogant message was broadcasted from Persepolis to Malger.

From: Shah Khosru III, King of Persia and Media, Beloved of Ahura Mazda, Decendant of Sassan

To: The Government of Malgeria

Oh, wonderful, more lemmings running off the cliff to their death. Sharia law is barbaric and your entire nation is backward. Nations like yours are repressive jokes, designed to be laughed at and then overthrown. Would you like a Persian army on your doorstep? I think not, so be careful where you stick your nose into my buisness.

-Shah Khosru the Magnificent

In response, the Malgerians provoked the Shah's wrath with their own message.

Statement from the Government of the Holy Islamic Republic of Malgeria

Your words brand you not only as an unenlightened infidel, but also as an enemy of Allah. Watch your step, Persian dog, for in time holy justice shall rain down upon your heads and you, Shah, puppet of the west, shall be forced to eat your words.

Muhammad Abdul-Aziz, Foreign Advisor to Imam Abdul-Bari

A war of words broke out, with the Shah continually espousing he would conquer Malgeria and deliver their people into servitude while the Malgerians claimed Allah would protect them. Shah Khosru continued to trumpet he would destroy their nation if they declared a Jihad, which they repeated they would not do again and again. The Parthian Shah also made viciously anti-Arab comments, calling the Malgerians "Caravan raiders," "wife bandits," and "barbarians." Finally, on February 20th, 2005, the Shah gave the Malgerian government 24 hours to become a protectoriate or be destroyed and their people enslaved. The Shah claimed it was assurance that the Malgerians would not declare Jihad or support terror on Parthia, but the Malgerians did not see it as such. Malgeria seemed to deliberatley ignore the ultimatum and inflamed the Shah even more, telling them to come and find death. Secretly, the Shah tried to make a seprate agreement by asking the Malgerians to do terror attacks on the Parthians' behalf, but the offer was rejected out of hand by the Malgerians. The Parthians military mobilized in Bandar-e Abbas; 500,000 men, and three divisions of armor were loaded up with one division of Immortals to subjugate Malgeria.

Some people claim, (it is in fact true) that the Parthian government, in seeking an oil monopoly in the Middle East or at least the shipping lanes in their domination, decided to invade Malgeria so the oil would be secured for Parthian use. This is actually only one of many causes. Others include the Shah's desire to right the wrongs committed upon the Persians in the 7th century which resulted in the loss of much of Persian territory outside of Iran, and the general view in Parthia that more Islamic nations not under Parthia's thumb meant more terrorism.

Malgeria Becomes the Agressor

Parthia had simply mobilized her fleet, when on February 21st, 2005, the Malgerian Government declared a Jihad on Parthia. Malgerian forces mobilized, and many Islamic nations flocked to the Malgerian banner. Al-Kabah was the first to declare their intentions to assist Malgeria, and the nation of MassPwnage declared they would support Malgeria with supplies simply to spite the Parthians. Arabislam and Abu Arabia pledged their support for Malgeria in the form of a powerful fleet and a number of troops equal to the number of Parthian troops in size. Parthia quickly increased deployment to 750,000 troops to ensure numerical superiority. Perhaps, however, the greatest support the Malgerians recieved was from Ayaddha, which sent a team of journalists that captured the war in its entirety. Parthia, in a strange move, perhaps hinting at their hopes it never would have come to war gave the Malgerians the chance for a cease fire, which was rejected.

Operation Zurvan

Parthian plans were very simple, calling for two fleets to each take a certain point. 250,000 men went with one fleet to advance on Hafar-al Kut while 500,000 men advanced with the main fleet to attack Malger. Parthian planes from Oman were to engage 24 hour air raids on Malgerian cities, and had targets selected based on expected population density with dense areas being targetted for raids with cluster munitions and incindiaries. Parthia expected an easy victory and to quickly annihilate any resistance, however, the truth proved different.

Opening Shots- The War at Sea

Parthia was the first to open fire, unleashing their naval forces on Abu Arabia. Hundreds of ASMs were fired off by Parthian vessels while Parthian aircraft fought the Abu Arabians in the skies. Al-Kabah joined in attacking the Parthian armada with a small number of ships and fighters, suicidally moving towards the Parthian fleet which repulsed them. MassPwnage supplied Malgerian vessels joined in. Casualties skyrocketed while billions of dollars in missiles were thrown about by either side. When the balanced looked to be moving to the favor of the Parthians, the MassPwnage forces took direct action and attacked, their powerful forces hit the Parthian fleet hard, but the conflict degraded into a basic match of missile trading. When the Macabees entered the conflict on the Parthian side, Al-Kabah pulled out leaving the Abu Arabians to face the Parthian fleet alone. Meanwhile, a Macabee fleet was deployed to Kzir Island, and prepared for invasion. Masspwnage fleets attacked Maccabee fleets off Kzir Island, but that also became a stalemate. When a Tocrowkian fleet attempted to assist the Malgerians, a small group of Macabee submarines decimated it, causing them to quickly land their reinforcements and withdraw.
