Manendil Máratyaro, is the Governor-Consul-General of the Imperial Province of Eriador. As Governor, Legionaire Máratyaro, as given more money to the Elbereth Institute for the Cosmos, he is very found of space travel and all things concerning the stars. He was become good friends with Ilmarë nos-Fëanor, director of the Elbereth Institute for the Cosmos.

Máratyaro was a Legionaire in the Imperial Army but was appointed to the Governorship over Eriador in 5160 (2005) after the conviction of Hayre nos-Lefad as being "sypethedic to unforgivable hersey."
