Reigning Prince(Mael) of Coetir and joint Pennaeth of clan Marchocáu of Shessara. One of only eleven Marchocáu left alive.

The demise of his noble clan depresses Mathonwy, and the death of his fiance, Ceridwen, ended the line of female Marchocáu. If he has no children by noble blood, the once-great Marchocáu will lose the throne- and their line- forever.
