Maximillian Tosch, born Alexander Maximillian Eduard Freiherr von Tosch und Abehrmann, was a famous Kasnyian philosopher, political satirist, scholar, and nobleman who was famous for many famous Kasnyian ideologies, including the Kasnyian Catholic Church, Kasnyian Imperialism, Kasnyian Benevolence and coining the term, the Kasnyian Republic.

Early Life

Tosch was born to an aristocratic family in Bahen, Kasnyia. His father, Baron Alexander von Tosch, had him placed in the prestigious Bahen Institute boarding school, famous for tutoring many future Kasnyian leaders, including seven Grand Dukes. He excelled in all subjects and, when he graduated at the age of 24, became a member of the Institute's faculty teaching the political sciences, where he would become famous for his great lectures on political philosophy.

Personal Tutor to the Grand Duke

Soon, Tosch became the talk of the nobility and touted a genius. For his part, he remained humble about his own lectures, calling them "odd ravings" but nonetheless enjpying the attention. Soon, Grand Duke Karl Xavier XII, on his deathbed, asked him to be the tutor to his son, the future Grand Duke Karl Xavier the Great. It is this, scholars say, that Karl Xavier the Great's rule was so peaceful and benevolent.

Later Years

Though he had ended up teaching the heir to the throne, he had been slightly put off by the fact that Karl Savier the Great had not put reforms into place immeditely and began to start criticizing the rest of the nobility for their complacency. In the ten years since, he had fallen from grace with the aristocracy though he became immediatel popular with the upper middle-class. It was around then that he coined the infamous "Kasnyian Republic" term, which had come about in a series of lectures he had given at his old school in Bahen.

Though he had fallen from grace years before, when the Grand Duke put in reforms to put Kasnyia back on track, he was once again pushed back into the lime light and, happy the Grand Duke had done as he had been taught to do, stopped bashing the nobility. From then on he was the Grand Duke's personal advisor, a position he held until his death twelve years later.
