Meritocratic Central Bank

The Meritocratic Central Bank is the central bank of the Meritocracy. Its primary responsibility is safeguarding the strength and integrity of the regional currency, the New Merit.

The Bank operates under the provisions of the Meritocratic Central Bank Act, and under the supervision of the Praetor.

Board of Directors

The officers of the Bank are the Governor and the Directors:

The officers are appointed by the Praetor on the recommendation of the Board, and ratified by the Senate.

The Board holds regular meetings to discuss and decide on the monetary policy, and on other issues important for the stability of the financial system of the Meritocracy.

Member nations

Membership of the Bank is open to all residents of the Meritocracy which accept the New Merit as their official currency.

The Meritocratic Central Bank participates in the statistics program of the Globally Unified Statistics and Trade Organization. For this purpose, it maintains its official representation to the Organization of Sovereign Nations. The current delegate is Benjamin Guildenstern.
