Mich-Inzl is an island in the International Democratic Union, containing Ceorana to the east, with an unclaimed portion to the northwest. The island is the largest in the Mich-Inzl Archipelago, which also bears its name, and is sometimes considered part of the IDU Mainland. It is east of the islands of Lloegr-Cymru, north of the IDU Mainland, and southeast of Kelvin Island.
Geography, climate and ecology
The climate is generally temperate, with a mostly oceanic climate in the southern and central latitudes of the island and moving into a continental climate to the north. The northern coast, which is virtually uninhabited, is generally classified as subpolar oceanic.
The island's highest point is within the mountains of Quintessence of Dust, with other mountains in southern Ceorana. The remainder of the island is mostly flat, although elevated a bit above sea level. Much of the island is covered in coniferous forests, making lumber an important resource for both resident nations. Many fauna are abundant on the island as well, a slim majority of which frolic freely in the lush forests of the eastern side of the island, where Ceorana's environmental policies give it a more flourishing environment, although a significantly weaker economy than its neighbor to the west.
Culture
Most of the native culture of the island was lost with the collapse of Yuunli, when most people still living their left to the neighboring nations of Lloegr-Cymru, Grosseschnauzer, Keeslandia, or Old Ceorana, and were amalgamated into those cultures. In the same way, Quintessence of Dust was formed significantly later than its neighbors. This means that, besides quasi-universal IDU traits of freedom, democracy, etc., the two cultures have many significant differences from each other.
