The "Minister of State" in Desh was a ministerial position created in 1975 in order to take over the powers of the Prime Minister of Desh ,who had,in the eyes of the Emperor, become too powerfull in the "Autumn of Reforms" period (1973-1974). In 1977 the minister suspended the prime minister, who in turn ejected him from his government. The King supported the Minister, until 1981,when ,after the waves of reforms of 1975-1979,the Emperors position was greatly weakened. The last holder was ejected from his seat in 1981 and the seat remained vacant until 1991,when it was officialy abolished by the government.
