Miroxian is the main language of Miroxia, along with English.

History

The language of Miroxian has been spoken by the Miroxian people since before being discovered by the English in 1807. Originaly named "Surukan", after the nation's original name, Suruka, the English men who settled there started to learn there language, and by 1810, when the formal government was founded, the government adopted it as "Miroxian" and it became the official language, along with English.

As the original Surukan people were forced to move out of the nation/to a Surukan reserve, Miroxian became less and less spoken, and by the early 1930s, almost no one spoke it, except for a few 1,000 people. In 1967, though, the Prime Minister of Miroxia, Maxwell Wallace, issued a law that stated: "All students, 2nd Grade and up, at govenment-funded Miroxian schools, must take a Miroxian Language Class." After the law, Miroxian become the second most-spoken language in Miroxia. In 1988, a national survey showed that Miroxian was more spoken then English by 97 people. Nowadays, most Miroxians are bilingual.
