Mobile Suit

Mobile suits are a type of robotic weapon used by certain Post Modern and Future Tech RP-ing nations. Not as its name suggests, a mobile suit is not a suit of armor worn by the pilot; rather, it is a roughly 15 to 20 meter tall humanoid mecha with the cockpit most often placed in the torso.

Mobile suit (MS) propulsion systems consist of numerous vernier thrusters and apogee motors placed along the joints limbs of the MS. At their most basic design, a mobile suit is unarmed, though most are equipped with an assortment of weapons such as built in vulcans, hand held weapons such as machineguns ranging from 90mm to 120mm, bazookas ranging from 240mm to 380mm, beam rifles, and an arsenal of melee weapons ranging from heat hawks and swords to electric whips and beam sabers. Many mobile suits are also equipped with throwable cracker grenades and sturm faust rockets. More advanced weapons include newtype use bits and funnels.

Oftentimes, mobile suits are mass-produced versions of what was once a prototype weapon, such as the prototype RX-78-2 Gundam.
