Grand Duchy of Montelimar
The Grand Duchy of Montelimar was established in 1085 after a five year civil war that ended the Montelimarean Confederacy, with the crowning of Henri de Brissac, the Duke of Brissac, as the nation's first Grand Duke . For nearly a thousand years, the Brissac Family has ruled Montelimar. Some are held in high esteme, while a few are less than memorable, but for the most part, they have ruled justly and wisely.
