Morquendi are a wildly popular Morindiran pop/rock band who burst onto the Morindiran music scene with their debut album Hunger, which recieved extremely positive reviews in the Morindiran music press. The group was formed in mid-2002 by Zvera Luthier, the lead singer of the band. She was soon joined by V'tali Marin on guitars, Kostya Laben on the bass, Kirill Annos on keyboards and Misha Kraev on the drums and the group began work on their debut album Hunger, released in February 2003. This album, considered by many as their best work, contained many of the songs synonymus with the group, such as Rain-Guns, For You and Simply Such a Strong Love. This release cemented Morquendi's popularity amongst the youth of Morindira.

In March 2004, Morquendi released their 2nd album to widespread hysteria, entitled Regions, Districts. It sold hugely and was accompanied by a tour of the country to promote it. The Way, the Might was released as a single from it and standout tracks include Southern Night and Never More. March 2006 saw the release of the group's 3rd album, When we are Together, Nothing is Better, from which The World was released as a single.
