Mount Sulfur is the third highest mountain in Vassfforcia, after the Ímorod (5’320m) and Háelvenorod (4’970 m) Its name means mountain of sulphur.

The mountain has two peaks, the highest of which is 4’240 m above sea level. Together, the peaks are seen as a saddle from either north or south. In the valley between the two peaks, formed by the ancient crater, is Lake Zulfía and the city of the same name.

This is the lowest peak that contains permanent snow and glaciers in Vassfforcia.

Mount Sulfur lies halfway between the Montauran Range and the Central Mountains in the Province of Vassfforcia and Western Vassfforcia very near of Umperia.

Elevations

The Vassfforcian national survey mapping agree that 4’970m is the more accurate measure of the elevation.

The lowest peak is called Moylerahs (4’602 m); a Hyarmendoran name which means “black peak” and it is on the east of the mountain and has no permanent glaciers. Mount Andrea (4’800 m), located on the west, is the highest elevation of the mountain and has permanent glaciers. It is remarkable, that as each elevation is in a different state, and both are the highest elevations in their respective states.
