Type: site / treasures
Number on list: #10

The Museum of National Art is the biggest museum in the Ariddian city of Cité-Belle. It is housed in the Cité-Belle Municipal Art Centre (pictured; see larger image), where it occupies the bottom-most "block" of five floors. The first floor contains temporary exhibitions, while the second is devoted mainly to pre-colonial Wymgani art, and the fourth has a large collection of foreign artwork (despite the museum's name). (The rest of the building contains, amongst other things, an annex of the Cité-Belle Centre University's department of Art, a small museum/exhibition centre for local painters and sculptors, various art studios, offices, and residential apartments).

The Museum of National Art has been described as "eclectic", in that it includes artworks from most conceivable artforms, and from all periods of Ariddia's history. The museum and its contents are listed as a national treasure by the Secretariat (ministry) for Culture. They are also listed on the World Heritage Sites & Treasures List.

Access is free, although foreign visitors are politely requested to make a small donation upon entry. The suggested sum is Ç700 (i.e. about €1.5). Foreign visitors are politely requested to donate about Ç2500 to obtain an annual ticket.
