This is an archive of past announcements which have been displayed on the Main Page of NSwiki. This can be considered abbreviated timeline of the major events at NSwiki.

• A New Main Page was unveiled on 29 June 2007.
• Voting has closed on the new NSwiki Main Page layout. See NSwiki:New Main Page for the results.
• Voting is occuring on the new NSwiki Main Page layout. See NSwiki:New Main Page for details.
• PHP Safe Mode was disabled on 23 May 2007, making everything related to images work better (or at least that's the hope).
• Jey was promoted to bureaucrat on 13 May 2007.
• Manhattan Prime was promoted to sysop on 28 April 2007.
• Work on the new version of NSwiki's main page should begin forthwith.
• NSwiki is currently looking for a fifth sysop. If you feel you are qualified for the position or would like to know more, please visit the NSwiki community portal to read more about what we do and how we work. If you would like to nominate another user for the position, visit our nominations page and follow the instructions.
• Gruenberg stepped down as sysop on 21 November 2006.
• A queue was implemented on 13 October 2006 to help ensure all featured article candidates have a chance to be featured on the Main Page and, more importantly, are featured at the correct time.
• Aridd was promoted to sysop on 30 September 2006.
• The ConfirmEdit extension has been a major success at NSwiki, eliminating all further linkspam since its implementation.
• To combat linkspam, the ConfirmEdit extension was implemented on 3 July 2006.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.6.7 on 2 July 2006.
• Jey was promoted to sysop on 30 May 2006.
• Swilatia was promoted to sysop on 3 March 2006
• Ceorana was promoted to sysop and Pacitalia was promoted to bureaucrat on 8 January 2006.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.5.4 on 25 December 2005.
• Gruenberg was promoted to sysop on 7 November 2005.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.5beta4 on 3 August 2005.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.5beta3 on 17 July 2005.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.4.5 on 19 June 2005.
• Pacitalia was promoted to sysop on 3 Jun 2005.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.4.4 on 22 May 2005.
• NSwiki was blocked by Websense on or shortly before 28 April 2005.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.4.0 on 21 March 2005.
• Image uploading was enabled on 20 March 2005.
• NSwiki hit its 1000th user on 25 February 2005.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.4beta6 on 6 February 2005. For more information about the upgrade, see here.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.4beta5 on 18 January 2005.
• NSwiki hit its 3000th article and 825th user on 16 January 2005.
• Due to bugs in the wiki code, the link boxes in Region and Nation infoboxes are temporarily disabled. Hopefully this will be corrected in the next release.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to versoin 1.4beta4 on 11 January 2005. For more information about the upgrade, see here.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.4beta3 on 26 December 2004.
• The NSwiki database was backed up on 20 December 2004 (last pre-dump edit was this one).
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.3.9 (minor bugfix) on 18 December 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 2500th article and its 650th user on 9 December 2004.
• The MediaWiki software was upgraded to version 1.3.8 on 21 November 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 2000th article on 19 November 2004.
• Voting has closed on the NSwiki logo. Thanks to all users who participated and congratulations to Unistrut.

• NSwiki hit its 1500th article on 29 October 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 1000th article on 17 October 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 900th article and its 200th user on 16 October 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 800th article on 13 October 2004.
• On 12 October 2004, NSwiki was featured on the NationStates News page.
• NSwiki hit its 700th article on 12 October 2004.
• NSWiki hit its 100th user and its 600th article on 9 October 2004.
• NSwiki experienced significant downtime on 8 October 2004. We apologize for any inconvenience.
• NSwiki hit its 500th article and 100th nation on 7 October 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 400th article on 6 October 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 50th user and its 300th article on 4 October 2004.
• NSwiki hit its 200th article on 3 October 2004.
